Baker Tilly (Barbados) SCC is an independent member firm of Baker Tilly International and is currently seeking a highly motivated Audit Assistant II to work in its Audit & Assurance Department.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with the planning and performance of statutory audits, in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and International Standards on Quality Management (ISQM).
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns for individuals and companies in accordance with the relevant tax legislation.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS, IFRS for SMEs or any other relevant Accounting Standards
Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required
- A University degree in Accounting (First or Second Class Honours) or the equivalent credits in a recognized professional accounting program.
- Enrolled in a recognized professional accounting program.
- Experience at an Audit Assistant level for at least 2 years.
- Ability to work independently.
- Self-starter and fast learner.
- Must be committed to working as part of a team.
- Emotionally intelligent with interpersonal skills set that builds trust and goodwill in relationships with internal colleagues and external clients
